The Bison’s Waterfront Luxury Tents have created a great buzz in the market over the past few years. Rated by Tatler as the 100 best in the world, let’s not beat around the bush; we are certain that you will not find architecture and interiors like this anywhere else in the area.
The Tents are a beautiful combination of the East-African Camps and the old Hunting Lodges of the Raj; the perfect balance between comfort and experiencing the wild.
These waterfront Tents are closest to the Kabini Backwaters with a spectacular view of the forest, backwaters and sunset.
Each room is elegantly designed to give a distinct look and feel. The canvas tents are imported from Africa; a strong canvas draping under a thatched roof. Wooden floors, a king sized bed, elegant furniture and a beautiful walk in bathroom equipped with a rain shower and a 7×6 ft walk in tub makes this a favorite for most.
All rooms have an outdoor veranda with chairs that overlook the forest. It is not at all uncommon to spot elephants grazing, gaur, boar, hundreds of deer and sometimes even a big cat, from your tents. Borrow a pair of binoculars from our Observation Deck and enjoy the forest from the comfort of your rooms
Our Suite Cottage takes you back to the old Victorian houses. It is beautifully furnished with quaint and wooded furniture. Comfortable carpeted floors, a living room, bedroom, large bathroom and a loft which works as a second bedroom, makes the cottage very comfortable for families and those who love their space.
Its got a fabulous view of the forest and lake when its full.
The Cottage comfortably fits four and is not fully tented like our other rooms.
Our Rustic Machan Suites are elevated above the ground and give you a beautiful ariel view of the backwaters, camp and the forest.
Similar to the Deluxe Tent, these rooms have wooden flooring and a king sized bed, however, the Machan’s are also equipped with plush couches and a single bed to lounge or sleep in. The sit out has a different feel as you are elevated 20ft of the ground with a stunning view of both the forest and farmlands behind.
The bathroom is larger in comparison to the Deluxe Tents and is equipped with a walk in shower. Grab a pair of waterproof binoculars from your elevated point of view and enjoy luxury on the edge of adventure.
Note: These are rustic and spacious rooms which comfortably fit three and can accommodate a maximum of four people. The bathrooms are have an outdoor feel and we suggest the Machans for those want a true rustic experience with a touch of luxury in the wild.
Our Private Bush Tents are very similar to the Waterfront Tents. The interiors and style are the same however these tents are slightly larger and are tucked away. They are beautiful tents for those who want a little more privacy with nature.
They do not share the same full frontal view of the lake and forest as the Waterfront Tents but they have a beautiful ambiance whilst the lake and forest are still visible.
