EXPERIENCE
A JUNGLE SAFARI
The base of Bandipur Tiger Reserve is only a 45-minute drive away from The Serai. Once you reach there, you hop on the safari vehicle and drive right into the jungle. You have a chance to get real close to tigers, leopards, panthers, elephants, and other wild animals during the safari.
Duration: 2 ½ hours for the safari
BULLOCK CART RIDE
Learn about the local way of life during the bullock cart ride towards a nearby village from The Serai Bandipur. On the way back, enjoy a picnic by the farmlands.
We support the local tribal community by joining hands with the villagers to offer the bullock cart ride to our guests. During the ride, you get to interact with the villager, who is more than happy to share his stories with you. A family of 4 or fewer can enjoy riding in one cart.

MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL
Take a ride on the wild side and gather knowledge of the local flora and fauna along the way.
Anyone who knows how to cycle can take part in this guided mountain bike trail experience from The Serai Bandipur. Listen to our in-house naturalist talk about the trees, the wildlife, and the various conservation efforts being undertaken in the region. Expect to cover a maximum distance of 18-20 kilometres.

BIRD TRAILS
Experience a guided walk in the woods with our well-informed, in-house naturalist. Look out for parakeets, bulbuls, the rare hornbills, and more.
The Serai is located on the very edge of Bandipur Tiger Reserve and National Park, thus making our property a mini jungle in itself. A morning or evening walk through the safety of our land and the adventure of the jungle is unbeatable.

MOUNTAIN VIEW COURTYARD
The Mountain View Courtyard is your perfect settlement with a garden at the front as well as a verandah with a view at the back. Wooden or stone-tiled floors, wood-beamed ceilings, large glass french windows, luxuriously appointed bathing area, and the softest of beds to sink into after a trek in the jungles around.
MOUNTAIN VIEW COURTYARD SUPERIOR
The corner courtyards boast an extra living room along with a bedroom, a garden, and a verandah. This living room attached to the bedroom has floor to ceiling glass windows, giving you the pleasure of staying so close to nature.
MOUNTAIN VIEW LOG HUT
A quaint log hut raised on stilts and fully wood-panelled inside with a cosy bedroom and large bathing areas. Its very own back verandah is wood-beamed and is the perfect place to sit and gaze at the blue hills beyond the dense forests.
THE RESIDENCE
Tastefully crafted and carefully designed, it is just the right mix of privacy and pleasure. The Residence has a vast living room-cum-bedroom, with separate bathing and dressing areas and an additional outdoor bathing area.

A JUNGLE SAFARI
Discover the spirit of Kabini forest during a jungle safari. The sheer abundance of wildlife will blow your mind – plenty of deer, gaurs, dholes, apart from a big herd of elephants and some big cats like tigers, leopards, and one black panther live in the forests adjacent to The Serai Kabini.

A BOAT SAFARI
The boat safari starts right from the riverbank in front of The Serai Kabini. It is the perfect setting to see the animals that come to quench their thirst in the river. You can hope to see elephants, gaurs, dholes, and even the occasional big cats.

KAYAKING AND PEDAL BOATING
Kayak your way through the mellow river or explore the emerald waters on a pedal boat. A perfect way to spend the afternoon during your visit to The Serai Kabini.

RIDE A CORACLE
Coracles used to be the regular mode of transport of the local fishermen for crossing the river and fishing trips. This unique way to experience the river is suitable for a family of 4-5 on one coracle. The ride starts from the shores at The Serai Kabini itself. Duration: 20 minutes

Over 200 species of birds have made Kabini forest their abode. Experience a guided walk in the woods along The Serai Kabini to spot kingfishers, egrets, herons, cormorants, and many more. Duration: 1 1⁄2 hours

The sun setting over the horizon of the river in the summer is a sight to behold from the boat. You will forever remember the sailing course on the winding river along the edge of the thick jungle. Duration: 30 minutes
